Romagna DOC<br>Trebbiano Spumante

Trebbiano grapes are delicately pressed to extract only the best part of the must.

The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at 16°C. The wine is then transferred to an autoclave for the second fermentation and refinement on the dregs, for about two months. This gives complexity and body to the wine.

Trebbiano Romagnolo

This is a white grape, a member of the Trebbiano family which includes Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Modenese and Trebbiano Abruzzese. It is thought to have originated in the eastern Mediterranean basin and has been grown in Italy since ancient times. It is mentioned as early as 1305 by the Italian writer and agronomist Pier De Crescenzi. Trebbiano Romagnolo is mainly grown in the Emilia-Romagna Region, particularly in the province of Ravenna, where it dominates the plain as well as the adjacent hills. It is a moderately vigorous varietal with average ripening and good productivity, characterized by large, compact bunches. It was typically trained according to the pergoletta method and the double lyre, while recently growers have turned more to the guyot and casarsa methods.
